Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

The Digital Content Manager is specifically responsible for contributing, managing, and implementing the overall integrated marketing strategy, specifically focused on executing the College’s social media strategy, leading the integration, creation, and support of digital content, and serving as the campus expert on social media advertising activities.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manages and contributes to College’s institutional social media accounts.
• Lead social campaign coordination for institution-wide integrated marketing projects, including appropriate channel selection and social promotion of content.
• Manages social media advertising activities across social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and others as they emerge. Consults with business units on the best approach to integrate advertising efforts within marketing plans. Executes on advertising activities through institutional business accounts.
• Manages Social Media Steering Committee and Social Media Council and enforcement of Social Media Policy and Best Practices.
• Manages the College’s Social Media Ambassador program and platforms.
• Assists in ongoing development and research of content strategy to be implemented across the College’s social media properties.
• Responsible for all related reporting, including all related social media traffic and activity, to contribute strategic recommendations for the ongoing planning and enhancements of the College’s social media strategy.
• Lead brand monitoring efforts via social channels.
• Identifies objectives, strategies, and new technologies to increase engagement through the use of social media.
• Supports College website in terms of content updates and social integration.
• Reviews content updates for quality assurance and adherence to web standard.
• Create digital storytelling content for blogs, website and other online channels.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Student Social Media Ambassadors

Minimum Experience

Education Requirements:
Minimum Level of Education Required Bachelor’s Degree in communication, marketing, or a technical field
Position Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Requirements:

• 4-6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong web, writing and communication skills.
• Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with use of social media for marketing purposes.
• Understanding of usability and user-centered design.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A keen interest in the latest developments, industry trends, and best practices for digital marketing.
• Writing and editing background in promotional or marketing copy, video or audio production.
• Team-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to think creatively and analytically.
• Envisions and proposes new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; takes thoughtful risks; and accepts new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.
• Anticipates and embraces change; demonstrates willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.
